The Pavilion Arts Centre is part of the Pavilion Gardens, Winter Gardens and Opera House complex. Known as 'the old theatre' after the Opera House, went under a complete restoration project and the new Arts Centre opened in 2012. With a large floor area, the venue can accommodate a variety of activities and events such as exhibitions, meetings, conferences and social events.
Events, Music, Exhibitions and Film
The High Peak Theatre Trust who run the Opera House and Pavilion Arts Centre noticed Buxton was lacking in one area. Since the closure of Spa Cinema in the 80's Buxton was without a cinema. Now local residents and visitors can see the latest blockbusters at the Pavilion Arts Centre. Are you looking for somewhere to stay during you're visit to Buxton? Book direct with the Portland Hotel for best available rates.
